Slum Tour

This a project embarked on showing some of the tourists that come to Uganda the real lives of people most especially children living in a bad state. Most of the tourists once they come to Uganda they dont get an opportunity to look at the real life situations of Ugandans.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TOUR
  • Supporting the effectiveness, efficiency, quality and relevance of youth work across the region.
  • To encourage engagement in community services by the youths, promoting the urge of making a difference and leaving a trail in their communities.
  • To be the lead youth organization in transforming youth society from peasantry.
  • To increase opportunities for the young people, securing additional resources and activities by proactively seeking support and funding from a range of partners to enable support innovative and collaborative working.
  • To facilitate and support empowerment activities for the young people across the region enabling them to have a say in local and national policy and service delivery.
  • To encourage, link and facilitate networking between AYPED and private, voluntary sectors.
  • To enable the optimum strategic understanding of the youth work developments and share best practices in delivery.
  • To provide professional support, training and workforce development, guidance for professional working with young people to support the effective management and effective delivery of services.
  • To provide expertise information, leadership and support so that the local authorities and development partners are effectively informed to determine future direction of youth work and development.
